Introduction

This site is dedicated to my father's RAF service history including his assignment to RAF 267 Squadron during World War II.

My Father, James Ronald Morgan served in the RAF as part of the ground crew from 1937 to 1945. In 1943 he was assigned to RAF 267 Squadron and he spent the remainder of his overseas tour with the squadron.

Sadly he died in 1966 before I could ask him about his experiences in the RAF and the war. As I started to research his service record I realised I wanted to share all that I could find out. I know from scouring the web that many people out there are trying to piece together the service history of a relative. I hope my pages help to inspire you to keep trying.

I particularly want to thank the following people for their help:

  • John Donkersley (Ron's nephew) and Dorothy Donkersley (Ron's sister (RIP)),
  • Kevin Good who is trying to trace his father in laws service history,
  • Stan Warren's WWII Ex-RAF Ground Crew Services Web Site,
  • ....and of course my Mum for understanding - love ya Mum!

I hope you enjoy this site, I'd love to hear your feedback, please go to my contacts page and send me a message.
